So for my first ever post on this blog, I would like to share and discuss about these strikingly soccer boots that has wowed the viewers of the past 2010 World Cup, maybe because there is a relation with the “Soccer Boots World Cup Edition Series” which is The Nike Elite Series, about 50% of the players or more, from all the countries wore these series of boots. It was launched by a company that already has a big name and its credibility has been proven, that brand is not other than Nike, specifically NikeFootball.

It isn’t surprising that these boots have attracted attention. Besides its striking colors, the details of the design are also eye-catching. It may not be a strange thing or new to soccer fans alike, but for those who doesn’t know that not all these shoes have the same design and the functions are various as well. Maybe because of the indistinguishable colors people aren’t to keen on the details of the shoes.

Let us take a look and observe these 4 shoes before they get “re-designed”

by the NikeFootball designers:

CTR360, this designs purpose is to ease the players control on the ball as well as helping them work on the ball better. This example here is just one of various colors provided.

T90, this designs purpose focuses more on the accuracy in shooting the ball in either free kicks, speculation shoots, passing to a teammate and even for first touches and the example here are just one of many colors provided.

Mercurial Superfly, these boots were specifically design for speed and acceleration of the player in dribbling and carrying the ball. Once again the example here is just one of many colors which is provided.

Tiempo, the design on these boots focuses on the comfort of ones player in playing and working on the ball, to help in short passes either “first touches” or other things, and for the last time the example here is one of various colors provided.

First and foremost I would like to give a brief explanation about the specialties of these shoes, starting from the material used, on the choices of the colors, etc. With that, the purposes of these boots aren’t different with the boots aforementioned.

The new feature of these boots is to upgrade the visibility of them on field and its outsole is reengineered to give new performances with its lightness for each player type. The Carbon Fiber Plate on each boot means that the Mercurial Vapor Superfly II becomes 5% lighter. The Maestri CTR360 decreases 19% of its weight. The Total90 Laser III and III Legend Tiempo also became lighter 16% than its original weight.
